Having seen all the pretty villages on the outskirts of Cordoba we thought it was time we ventured into the big smoke properly. Cordoba is Argentina's student city so where better we thought to stop and try and learn some more of the lingo – we are getting by (well Shona is, I just stand behind her like a nodding dog a lot!) but it would be nice to get a better grasp. Yeah right! It just confused me more… tenses, pre something or other verbs, irregular verbs and more its all a foreign language to me! Anyway, we are English we're meant to be ignorant of other languages they should all speak English, we used to rule the world, rule Britannia! That reminds me while in town we tip-toed past a small demonstration in the main plaza claiming that the British are facists, where do they get these ideas from! Whilst in Cordoba we also realised we hadn’t actually seen a tango show yet so having sourced out a local small and very intimate one we settled in for the night to enjoy. Dinner, lots of wine and a show full of dancing, fancy suits, revealing dress, traditional music and a very amusing accordion player – was a good night and I think I even picked up a few moves, haven’t had a chance to try them out on Shona yet though!
