Our first stop in Peru was the strange little city of Chiclayo, more out of need (connecting buses) than choice! Other than the vultures hovering around over head the only notable thing about Chiclayo was the Shaman Market….all your daily needs for a Shaman under one big huddle of market stalls. Dried frogs, bones, wierd herbs & plants, potions etc they had some thing for everything, people would approach you trying to sell little bottles of who knows what – we passed though! Other than that we just spent time exploring the city and checking out its plaza and buildings as we were only stopping for a night to break up travel.
