Now it's not that I don't like dogs, well the cute little ones anyway the big scary ones I'm not overly keen on! But to say stray dogs are a problem in South America is a massive understatement, there's 100's of them in every town – flee ridden scraggy things follow you around town, crazy eyed war wounded ones fight in the street, 3 legged docile ones just linger by the roadside! They are everywhere, barking away all night keeping you awake, next to you as you try and eat outside restaurants, nipping at your ankles as you walk down the street. Don't get me wrong some are cute and even get a small arrrghhhh every now and then, we even manage to somehow adopt the odd one or two when we go on walks, some have followed us for around 5 hours, but a few more Chinese restaurants opening up around the place wouldn't go a miss and might help to control the otherwise rapidly growing numbers!
